Position Summary:  The Associate Product Manager - Shoulder is responsible for providing a broad range of shoulder marketing and product management services in accordance with the goals of the company.

Knowledge:   

Minimum Educational Requirements:  Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Biologic Science related discipline.

Minimum Experience Requirements:  2 plus years experience in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Biological Science. 

Minimum Skill Requirements: Excellent written and oral communication skills, business acumen and strong presentation skills. Interpersonal communication skills, customer relations, math aptitude and diplomacy. Outstanding organizational development skills and an attention to detail, follow-up are a must.

Problem Solving/Decision Making:

Independent, proactive judgment is employed in problem prevention/solving relating to customers, company policies, strategy, and internal procedures. Considerable discretion and judgment are exercised in decision making involving sales policies and procedures.

Extent of Confidential Information: 

Access to confidential information of both the company and its personnel is necessary. Therefore, employment is contingent upon a signed NDA.

Interpersonal Contacts:

Independent and Direct sales force, Health Care Providers, as well as internal Medacta USA and Medacta International personnel.

Travel Requirements:

 Travel up to (50%) in support of Product Management team and initiatives.

Principal Duties:

Implements and periodically revises the company's marketing and product management plan. •

Writes and administers the annual product management budget.

Develop marketing strategies and product launches with clear execution plans that are consistent with Medacta’s global strategy.

Support sales force with in-depth product knowledge and ensure sales representatives, agents/AD’s and HCP’s (health care providers) are properly trained on Medacta products.

Assist in support for all cadaver labs and educational programs.

Assist operations in the development and maintenance of product planning and forecasting as it relates to the U.S. market for new and established products. This includes new product rollout and product sample organization.

Research, analyze and remain informed about competitive products. Prepare competitive reviews and produce sales aids to assist sales force.

Assist with key surgeon relationships with existing surgeon collaborators as well as new surgeon collaborators based on the needs of Medacta USA. This may require working in a surgical setting.

Assists with product training and skill assessments of Medacta USA sales force. This may require working in a surgical setting.

Collaborates and provides inputs with Medacta International on a frequent basis on all product management matters.

Provides inputs into product/development pipeline process for joints and ensures US needs are identified and considered appropriately in the process.

Assist with HCP surgeon nomination for consulting and development needs for joints.

Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) planning and execution for joints including inputs into sales and operations planning (S&OP) process.

Provides key input into joints collateral marketing materials such as brochures, flyers and direct mail campaigns as well as information displays.

Participates in various company educational programs and other related events.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Occasional Duties:

Sales training, Area Sales Meetings, Learning Centers, National/Local Industry Conferences, Domestic and International Company Meetings.
