POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting Medacta USA as the Regional Shoulder & Sports Medicine Manager to build and scale shoulder arthroplasty and sports medicine growth within the assigned geography. Responsible for driving new business, activating underpenetrated markets, recruiting and developing channel partners, and ensuring flawless execution of Medacta’s shoulder and sports strategy across hospitals, ASCs, and surgeon networks. They operate as the regional business leader, responsible for growth, talent, and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or professional certification in a medical profession.
Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years’ overall upper extremity orthopedic sales experience with 3 years sales management experience.
Position-Specific Requirements:
Hospital Credentialing: You will be required to submit appropriate health documentation to include but not limited to vaccinations, TB testing results, titers, etc.) and complete enrollment processes for 3rd party Hospital Credentialing Groups (HCGs) which may include other requirements as listed by each credentialing group.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational development and demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Superb strategic planning skills a must along with demonstrable sales management achievements.
- Independent, proactive judgment is employed in problem prevention/solving relating to product development, customers, sales policy, strategy and procedures
- Considerable discretion and judgment are exercised in decision making involving sales policies and procedures.
- PC/Microsoft Office software suite, Mac/iOS, general office equipment, orthopedic instruments, automobile, smart phone and mobile apps.
- Physical Requirements:
- Sitting: Extended periods at a desk, workstation, or driving for long periods of time.
- Standing and Walking: Frequent movement within the office and hospitals.
- Lifting and Carrying: Lifting, transporting surgical instruments and implant bins up to 40 lbs.
Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS
External: Independent contractors, surgeons, PAs, Nurses, allied health professionals, hospital CEO's, CFO's
Internal: Internal Medacta USA and Medacta International personnel.
Travel requirements: Frequent travel via car/air/rail 50% or more.
Extent of Confidential Information: Highly confidential information regarding revenues, budgets, sales and marketing strategies, and product development.
Reporting: Presentations, Electronic Files, Excel Spreadsheets, Weekly and Monthly forecast updates, Expenses, Market Surveys.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Own regional growth by delivering against quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Drive new business through conversion of surgeons, and health systems.
- Build and lead the sales channel by recruiting and developing, training distributors, and direct reps aligned with strategy.
- Lead surgeon adoption by supporting evaluations, first cases, and early utilization.
- Leverage enabling technologies to create clinical and economic differentiation.
- Develop priority markets through targeted geographic expansion.
- Maintain operational discipline with accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and opportunity tracking.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing, education, product, and operations teams.
- Expanding utilization within existing accounts.
- Recruiting and developing high-quality agents and representatives.
- Leveraging technology to drive clinical and economic differentiation.
- Establishing Medacta as a credible growth partner in every target account.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Sales training, Area Sales Meetings, Learning Centers, National/Local Industry Conferences, International Congresses, Domestic and International Company Meetings.
