POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for providing accounting services for the corporation and maintaining its financial records in compliance with all international, federal, state, local, and professional standards by performing the following duties.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting (required)

 

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 4+ years’ experience in a corporate accounting environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Sitting: Extended periods at a desk or workstation.

INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS

External: Medacta customers, Medacta vendors, audit and tax partners

Internal: Sales personnel, Finance, Customer Service, Operations, Corporate Accounts, Medacta International

Travel requirements: None

Extent of Confidential Information: Patient PHI, banking information, payroll

Reporting: Financial reporting, budgeting/forecasting and all other required monthly reports are created in Excel with input from reports generated from Microsoft Navision/Business Central, Qliksense, Tagetik, and Report Manager.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Assist in month-end close activities including recording journal entries
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reporting including charge- back of expenses and reconciliations
  • Coordinate recording of intercompany asset purchases and transfers
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports and analyses in Tagetik (international consolidation system)
  • Collaborate with international parent company to resolve reporting discrepancies and improve processes
  • Provide assistance and support for annual audit
  • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process as needed
  • Heavy involvement in special projects and implementations
  • Maintain written procedures for key tasks
  • Performs other duties as assigned
