POSITION SUMMARY
The Enabling Technology Specialist provides support with Medacta’s Spine Enabling Technologies by overseeing and being directly involved in the installation and training at new and existing hospitals and accounts. Heavily involved in training and education to the support teams and field representatives using the software. Position works closely with the product specific managers, engineers, sales personnel, and other support teams to address technical issues and contribute to the overall success of Enabling Technology procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or a related technical degree
Experience Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Spine, Navigation and/or Robotics
Required Skills and Abilities:

- Proven experience in technical support, preferably in the healthcare or medical device industry.
- Familiarity with robotic or navigation surgical systems and their components.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software related systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High level (Intermediate to Advanced) Microsoft Office Excel skills (i.e. formulas and functions), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and Carrying: Light to moderate lifting of technical equipment.
Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

Travel requirements: 80% domestic travel, potential for international travel as needed
Extent of Confidential Information: Visibility to the proprietary NextAR software

PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Technical Assistance:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues related to NextAR surgical system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges and enhance system performance.
- Provide prompt and effective technical support to sales personnel, customers that are utilizing the NextAR Surgical system.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of technical issues, resolutions, and service history for each NextAR surgical system.
- Create and update user manuals, troubleshooting guides, SOP’s, and maintenance videos
- Responsible for promptly submitting accurate complaint reports in compliance with the quality system requirements of Medacta Enabling Technologies.
- Training and Education:
- Conduct technical onsite installations based on customers’ request, on the proper use and maintenance of NextAR surgical equipment.
- Deliver comprehensive training to surgeons and operating room staff on the use of our navigation technologies, instruments, and associated equipment.
- Develop and update training materials to ensure sales personnel have the necessary knowledge to operate the technology effectively and safely.
- Customer Relations:
- Work with customers internal teams to assist in the approval/sales process of NextAR Surgical system use.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers’ teams by providing excellent technical support and addressing their concerns in a timely manner.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with product managers, and other internal teams to relay customer feedback, report bugs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the NextAR surgical system.
- Work closely with Sales Representatives and Marketing teams to enhance communication regarding product performance and market feedback
- Support the development and implementation of sales strategies, and work to increase the usage of navigation technologies by enhancing relationships with current users and engaging potential new surgeons.
- Case Coverage: Provide essential case coverage at various healthcare accounts, ensuring support and guidance during surgical procedures.
