POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from Medacta customers, facilitating resolution of billing problems with corporate accounts/customer service/sales organization, resolving customer over/under payment issues, escalating collection concerns and missing purchase orders to sales and finance leadership, reporting on customer account aging, and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Requirements:

High School Diploma, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree a plus

 

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in business-to-business collections environment

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Sitting: Extended periods at a desk or workstation.
    • Standing and Walking: Frequent movement within the office.
    • Lifting and Carrying: Light to moderate lifting of office materials, supplies, etc.

Additional tasks may require reaching, manual dexterity, and visual acuity.

Reporting: Aging reports and analytics in Excel and Microsoft Navision

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES

  • Reviews open accounts for collection efforts
  • Makes outbound collection calls in professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations
  • Facilitates resolution of customer billing problems with Corporate Accounts, Customer Service, and Sales
  • Resolves aging delinquencies, applying good customer service in a timely manner
  • Identifies issues contributing to account delinquency and discusses them with Finance and Sales leadership
  • Maintains detailed notes in ERP system regarding communications with customer and sales, payment plans, payment commitments, etc.
  • Provides supporting documentation to customers upon request to facilitate cash collections
  • Prepares monthly comments for required corporate reporting in an accurate and timely manner
  • Follows internal policies and procedures, meeting minimum requirements of the job as outlined in the weekly report card
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
