Title: Office Intern


Type: Part Time Internship


Report to: The Office Associate of 6 Stones Mission Network


Summary: If you are interested in learning more about non profit organizations and how they work, come learn with us at 6 Stones Mission Network, A Catalyst of Hope. In the process, you will undergo training in non profit leadership, learn and leverage non profit software and engage in projects that will develop communication and leadership skills. This education will benefit our organization and help our community and neighbors.


Duties:


  • Coordinate assigned projects within the timeline requirements with special attention to project development, team development, correspondence and regular updates.


  • Work well within a team environment in order to develop plans, projects and ministry teams with our staff and with our coalition of partnering churches and other stakeholders. 


  • Perform collaborative planning and decision-making with 6 Stones staff, ministry teams, and volunteers.


  • Coordinate, develop and oversee any additional assigned projects.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the weekly donations including updating Bloomerang, scanning checks, printing thank you letters and preparing reports;


  • Process invoices and reconciling monthly statements from vendors, schedule, prepare and mail checks to vendors;


  • Manage daily office duties including the phone system, checking/routing mail and emails;


  • Provide office coverage including answering phones, responding to email requests and assisting guests;


  • Ensure kitchen hospitality needs are met daily including, but not limited to, stocking drinks, replenishing coffee supplies and snacks, and maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen. Also provide a store list to the Office Associate when necessary;


  • Assist the Chief Financial Officer and/or Executive Director in other areas as assigned.


Projects:


  • Clean up volunteer data to ensure accurate communications and recording of volunteer activities.


  • Social media posting to neighbors, volunteers and donors; highlighting 6 Stones activities and messages.


  • Document processes so that all steps will be followed in the proper order.


  • Work with the development team on short term and long term initiatives.


  • Support events and programs through rotations with other interns.
