Title: Momentum Generations Associate (Youth Mentor)
Type: Part-Time Contract $25/hour
Report to: Director of Compassion Ministries
About This Role
Make a real difference in students' lives. As our Youth Mentor & Program Coordinator, you'll facilitate our Generations mentoring program in local high schools, guiding students through a transformative 7-week journey focused on career exploration, college readiness, and life skills development.
6 Stones' mission is to be a Catalyst of Hope, transforming lives, homes, and communities. This role is perfect for someone passionate about youth development who wants to help high school students successfully transition to college or trade school.
What You'll Do
Direct Student Impact:
- Facilitate engaging 1-hour Generations sessions at local high schools using our proven curriculum
- Lead multiple 7-week cohorts running concurrently throughout the school year ● Build meaningful relationships with students and track their progress and outcomes
- Coordinate exciting field trips to local colleges and trade schools
Program Coordination:
- Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors for the program
- Maintain attendance records and program documentation
- Collaborate with school counselors to align program schedules with the school calendar
- Manage required background checks and safety training for all mentors (training provided)
Program Development:
- Partner with local colleges and organizations to create pathways for student success
- Help develop and implement our summer program and alumni network
- Assist with securing sponsorships and donations to expand program reach
- Support additional projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets) and Microsoft Office
- Available during daytime hours Tuesday-Thursday for in-school facilitation
- Heart for serving young people in a faith-based environment
- Organized, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality
Preferred:
- Experience working with teenagers through teaching, coaching, youth ministry, mentoring, or similar roles
- Understanding of college/trade school application processes

Schedule & Commitment
Classes are facilitated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during school hours. Additional hours for planning, coordination, and meetings are flexible. Total commitment ranges from 15-24 hours per week depending on the number of active cohorts.
