Where you fit in:

As an early member of a fast growing start-up, you will lead the design, implementation and execution of QA strategies for Parsyl’s hardware, mobile, and software platform. You will need to balance the implementation of strong quality assurance practices with the needs of a fast paced product development organization that continuously ships products and features. It will be equally important for you to design and develop automated test systems as well as contribute directly to test processes. You will participate in critical decisions throughout our evolution and growth and be a key contributor to our success. You will work directly with the CTO, the engineering and product teams, and individuals of all disciplines.

You are a good fit for this position if you have an exceptional technical skill set, experience building test automation for hardware and software systems, and are comfortable working in a fast paced and dynamic startup environment. Experience working with Bluetooth or other hardware and IoT applications is strongly preferred. You are highly motivated and are inspired by our mission to reduce waste and improve health for people across the globe.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience relevant to the role

  • 5+ years of software development and/or QA experience

  • Experience working with hardware and firmware QA

  • Experience testing for low resource and low connectivity environments

  • Strong understanding of successful quality assurance principles

  • Strong experience developing automated UI, mobile, backend and end to end test suites

  • Strong experience demonstrating the design and implementation of test plans

  • Experience with QA for Go, Javascript, Kotlin, Python, and Embedded C

  • Experience with fully automated CI/CD systems (we use CircleCI) 

  • Outstanding communication and organizational skills

  • Desire for continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently

  • Primarily motivated by a sense of mission and purpose
