Job Summary:

Broadcast Management Group is seeking a hands-on, versatile Production Engineer to manage and maintain the company’s production equipment. This position will be based in Washington, DC, but will be required to travel for remote productions and serve in a Tech Manager capacity, overseeing, maintaining, troubleshooting and setting up multi-camera production environments. Qualified candidates must have a strong background and experience with live streaming and encoding. Must know Tricaster and ATEM switchers as well as working on major broadcast production trucks. This position will be required to stay on top of the latest industry trends and learn new production technology. The Production engineer must have strong interpersonal skills and must be comfortable being client-facing.

 

Responsibilities:

·                    Service as Engineer In Charge on assigned project projects

·                    Leading engineers, and utilities on production projects

•             Manage and maintain BMG’s production equipment

•             Serve in an Encoding Engineer capacity for live, remote production projects, managing live

  streams and encoders

•             Shade cameras for remote production projects

•             Setup, troubleshoot and maintain wireless video and audio equipment, including RF management

•             Setup, troubleshoot and maintain flight packs for remote production projects

•             Maintain an accurate inventory of all company production equipment

•             Make technology recommendations for the company

•             Program wired and wireless comms systems for live productions

•             Support client and technical teams on live remote productions

•             Develop engineering drawings for upcoming productions and client installations

·                     Work with BMG’s integration team on the planning and installation of broadcast systems

REQUIREMENTS:

             Experience working in a Tech Manager or Lead Utility capacity on remote production projects

•             Experience setting up, managing and troubleshooting video encoders for live, remote production projects

•             Experience operating major production switchers, as well as smaller production switchers including ATEM Production Switcher                       and Tricaster

•             Experience setting up and troubleshooting Clear COMM’s and Free speak systems

•             Experience setting up wireless microphones and IFB systems

•             Behringer 32 Channel 16 Bus Mixing Console

•             Experience shading cameras
