North Coast Medical Inc. is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position is hybrid and will report to the Chief Financial Officer. See more details below!

Position Summary Overview:  This position handles various aspects of accounting and administrative tasks. They will perform central accounting activities related to one or more of the following functions: accounts payable, cash accounting including reports, bank reconciliation, producing various accounting and financial reports. 

Hours: Full Time, Non Exempt

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 
•    Assist with month end closing procedures including, but not limited to journal entries, account reconciliations, bank and credit card reports.
•    Accurately match electronic purchase order details against invoices and/or record of items received, including but not limited to verifying unit, price, quantity, discounts, and invoice terms.
•    Paying invoices according to agreed upon terms, investigating and resolving any discrepancies with vendors. 
•    Enter and update approved vendor information in the accounting database. 
•    Follow up on invoices that are expected but haven’t been received promptly. 
•    Experience with accounting software and online platforms. 
•    Prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
•    Scanning documents into digital filing system and organizing them into a structured folder system.


Position Requirements and Qualifications 
•    Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business with emphasis in Accounting.
•    Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounting.
•    Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
•    Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Excel and other relevant software programs required.
•    Effective communication skills with vendors and internal departments are essential. 
•    Superb time management skills and detail oriented. 
•    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team. 
•    Ability to work under pressure. 
•    Commitment to professional responsibility.
•    Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
•    Ability to work overtime when needed.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Environment 
•    This position is hybrid and will require a person that is local that can travel to the Corporate Office in Morgan Hill, CA once a week to complete job functions such as checking mail, scanning documents into digital filing system, and ad-hoc projects.
•    Work involves sedentary to light work in a home office setting. There is frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, lift light objects (up to 10 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. 
•    Frequent speaking, listening, using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse and extended periods of time working at a computer
•    High speed internet connection with full video conferencing capacity and bandwidth for VPN access
