Communications & Marketing Manager—
Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation (SCCF)
SCCF is seeking a proven, self-starter Communications & Marketing Manager to lead the planning, development, and implementation of our communications strategies. Responsibilities include: proactive media relations, corporate identity/branding oversight, outreach activities across all print and electronic platforms (social media and website news updates), and development of promotional materials and services in support of SCCF and its program areas.
This position requires topnotch written communication skills.
—Write/coordinate with staff to write newsletters (monthly) & annual report
—Develop, design, and author fact sheets, info-graphics, and other outreach materials
—Ability to write & edit op-eds/articles and other public documents
A proactive media outreach approach is required
—Develop relationships with local, regional, and state-wide media
—Create press packets highlighting SCCF’s experts
Social Media Management
Experience running and implementing social media strategy
—Develop and implement social media outreach strategies that grow SCCF’s followers in order to further our mission
—Write daily social media posts based on relevant news/events/science
—Manage all social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Branding and Graphics
Experience either with graphic design or the management of graphic design projects with outside consultants
—Develop SCCF brand kit and style guide
—Develop high-quality content for outreach
—Update website in coordination with staff, including news and events

The next SCCF Communications & Marketing Manager will be a very organized and motivated self-starter. S/he will thrive in a team environment, being willing to pitch in when an extra hand is needed. Holding a bachelor’s degree, our new Communications & Marketing Manager will have extensive experience in executing communications strategies targeting diverse audiences through multiple outlets and platforms. S/he will be conversant in conservation issues in Florida and be able to translate complex scientific/policy information into plain language.
