Position Summary

TCG Labs-Soleil is seeking a talented molecular biologist experienced in in vivo antibody discovery approaches to join the Antibody Discovery team. In this role you will be responsible for immunization and therapeutic antibody discovery using single-cell Ig-Seq technology and establishing high throughput cloning of antibodies. As part of an interdisciplinary research team, the selected individual will contribute to an exciting and diverse therapeutic pipeline.

 

Responsibilities

• Implement immunization strategy (peptide, protein, DNA, mRNA) and schedule, animal handling, immunization  and tissue harvest (lymph nodes, spleen and bone marrow)
• Participate in cell sorting of antigen positive B cells for therapeutic antibody discovery
• Build Ig-Seq libraries using the 10x genomics platform
• Ability to participate in mammalian expression and purification
• Experience utilizing display technologies for therapeutic antibody discovery and optimization is a plus
• Apply molecular cloning techniques, antibody gene sequencing, and use of related software for sequence analysis, comparison of antibody candidate hits, and re-formatting including humanization, affinity maturation, isotype switching.
• Design and implement screening and characterization of antibodies using in vitro protein and cell-based screens to select and characterize antibody candidates including ELISA, flow cytometry and SPR.
• Document experiments in ELN and present data to key internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members to enable rapid advancement of key therapeutic programs

 

 

Qualifications

• PhD in scientific discipline with 0-3 years of related experience, or Masters / Bachelor’s with comparable experience.
• Experience with immunization strategies and immunization of animal models for antibody discovery
• Extensive experience and understanding of molecular biology techniques including antibody cloning
• Previous experience with B-cell antibody discovery is desired but not required.
• Skilled in antibody repertoire sequencing and analysis for therapeutic drug discovery with AI/ML-driven drug discovery experience is a plus
• Track record of success evidenced by publications and patents.
• Experience with or willingness to learn automation to enable efficient antibody discovery workflows.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to prepare, present and discuss project reports in internal project teams.

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $91,000 - $171,875 annually (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
