Position Summary
TCG Labs-Soleil is looking for a high-quality scientist with a molecular biology and/or biochemistry background to join our team. This enthusiastic scientist will take advantage of their creativity, technical expertise and strong foundational understanding of biology to design and execute efficient validation of new therapeutic targets and ideas. In addition to important contributions at the bench, this scientist will also be expected to intellectually support, and ultimately independently conceive proposals for drug discovery projects. Finally, the successful candidate will be highly collaborative and goal oriented, proactively working across teams to enable drug discovery. Together, these efforts will be essential to nucleating a robust and exciting therapeutic pipeline at TCG Labs-Soleil.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute target validation projects to efficiently educate go/no-go decisions on drug discovery projects
- Support development of and data collection from in vitro assays for target discovery and validation
- Collaborate with research leadership and venture arm partners to develop new ideas for entry into the TCG Labs-Soleil research pipeline
- Collaboration with in vitro and in vivo pharmacology teams to bolster validation and support drug discovery assay development
- Careful, clear, and transparent analysis and presentation of data to key internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in biological sciences and 3+ years of post-PhD experience (postdoc and/or industry)
- Technical expertise in molecular biology and biochemistry (e.g., construct and library design and production, high-throughput screen design and execution, ELISA, western blot, etc.)
- Technical expertise in mammalian cell culture and cell-based assays (e.g., cell viability readouts, high-content imaging, FACS analysis and cell sorting, reporter assays, etc.)
- Strong conceptual understanding of disease biology, preferably across multiple therapeutic areas
- Strong ability to interpret data in the context of the program, make recommendations with regards to next steps and priorities
- Collaborative, communicative, and flexible; eager to do whatever is needed to help the team succeed
- Unwavering integrity, accountability, transparency and respect
- Deep passion for bringing novel therapeutics to patients as quickly as possible

Benefits and Compensation
TCG Labs-Soleil provides a competitive benefits package that includes access to Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability, Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), 401k plan and PTO.
The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $136,000 - $222,000 annually (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
