Position Summary

TCG Labs-Soleil is looking for a top-notch in vivo scientist to join our team. This energetic scientist will use their deep understanding of disease biology, creative scientific mind and rigorous technical expertise in rodent pharmacology to help drive our target validation and drug discovery efforts. A successful candidate will be a hands-on scientist, designing and executing in vivo studies in tight collaboration with our lean research team. As a key scientific leader in the team, this candidate would be expected to make important contributions beyond their role at the bench, including to the drug discovery strategy and research portfolio prioritization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead in vivo efforts for target validation and drug discovery across a range of therapeutic areas including immunology and oncology
  • Independently conceive, design and execute in vivo studies and ex-vivo analyses that will drive decision-making and prioritization
  • Enthusiastically develop and/or facilitate outsourcing of unfamiliar in vivo pharmacology models
  • Mentor 1-2 all-star research scientists in a fast-paced environment, actively prioritize efforts to align with organizational priorities and be flexible to the needs of the team
  • Deeply engage with scientific literature to understand our therapeutic hypothesis and creatively and collaboratively design drug discovery plans
  • Contribute to scientific strategy and program prioritization as a functional lead and key member of the biology research team

 

Qualifications

  • PhD in biological sciences with 6+ years (or Postdoc with 3+ years) of industry experience
  • Lead from the front – hands-on scientist who recognizes the importance of leading by example
  • Technical expertise in rodent model development and required in vivo pharmacology techniques
  • Strong ability to interpret data in the context of the program, make recommendations with regards to next steps and priorities
  • Collaborative, communicative, and flexible; eager to do whatever is needed to help the team succeed
  • Unwavering integrity, accountability, transparency and respect
  • Deep passion for bringing novel therapeutics to patients as quickly as possible

Benefits and Compensation

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $148,000 - $222,000 annually (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
