The Foster Care Adoption Supervisor is primarily responsible for supervising foster care adoption home developers and other assigned staff in all aspects of Foster parent recruitment and training verification team in compliance with Residential Child Care contract standards and Child Placing Minimum Standards.

Experience/Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university PLUS three years of experience in a child placement setting; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or other human services field PLUS two years of experience in a child placement setting; OR
  • Master’s degree PLUS two years of experience in a child placement setting; OR
  • Master’s degree in social work or other human services field PLUS one year of experience in a child placement setting; AND
  • Nine credit hours in undergraduate or graduate level courses that focus on family and individual functioning and interaction.
  • Competency in trauma-informed care
  • Basic knowledge of human growth and development
  • Working knowledge of residential childcare minimum standards and residential childcare contracts
  • Understanding of family dynamics theory and practice

 

Experience/Skills Preferred

  • Experience in developing and implementing recruitment strategies
  • Understanding of marketing and outreach techniques
  • Training and curriculum development skills

Travel Required

  • Reliable transportation required. Mileage reimbursed.
