The Kinship Foster Care Adoption Coordinator is a full-time role within the Foster Care Adoption department. This role is specific to supporting verified kinship and fictive kin families receiving ongoing (case management) and Aftercare Support services. The role is also responsible for maintaining and supporting educational, medical, dental, behavioral health, and other service needs for children/youth in residential (foster) care. Casework consists of the planning and coordination of services to a child and family based upon the child’s and the family’s current needs and functioning. The position is responsible for supervision, permanency planning, education, and training of kinship families and children within Arms Wide’s Foster Care Adoption program. This includes supporting kinship, foster, and foster/adopt homes; evaluating the needs of children for whom they are providing care; developing/reviewing service plans; providing supervision and services to families and children; participating in permanency planning for children. Case work services are available twenty-four (24) hours a day to caregivers. The Kinship Foster Care Adoption Coordinator maintains complete and current records on each case, in compliance with Residential Child Care contract standards and Child Placement Minimum Standards.

Experience/Skills Required
- Good, basic, clerical, and administrative skills with emphasis on verbal and written communication skills (in English); objective; positive attitude; willingness to take initiative; and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Working knowledge of Residential Child Care Regulation Minimum Standards for Child Placing Agencies
- Understanding of family dynamics theory and practice
- Ability to cope with changing situations and work under pressure
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or other human services field plus one year working under the direction of child placement management staff

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus two years of documented full-time work experience in a residential child-care operation.
Travel Required
- Reliable transportation required. Mileage reimbursed.
