Job Title: Procurement and Logistics Coordinator

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator is mainly responsible for supporting our major seasonal programs initiatives, including product negotiations, vendor management, and procurement/purchasing and overall logistics. The candidate must show commitment to IRUSA’s faith inspired values and principles as well as a commitment to the vision and mission of the organization.
- Procure and compile program supplies and prepare RFP’s for seasonal projects.
- Use and build upon the existing list of national vendors for sourcing and purchasing.
- Ability to negotiate favorable and competitive pricing, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers.
- Work with-in approved seasonal budget for procurements and logistics costs.
- Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies.
- Develop, advise and adhere to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
- Coordinate national logistics through freight logistics carriers with a general understanding of freight shipping.
- Carry-out warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures.
- Manage and monitor the purchasing process, tracking maintenance supplies and deliveries;
- Manage and maintain accurate inventories
- Performs other jobs as assigned.
Competencies and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least three (3) years of related work experience managing procurement/purchasing, or an Associate’s Degree and at least 5 years of related experience.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with diverse stakeholders in a diplomatic manner.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Technical proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and other project management systems.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work setting with diplomacy and composure.
- Self-motivated with extensive knowledge of purchasing systems, software, and budgeting and strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be detail-oriented, demonstrate good judgment, integrity and be a team player.
- Certification in supply chain management, procurement and/or logistics is a plus.
- Competency in Netsuite and inventory management systems preferred.
- Must have own transportation and valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in the US.
