Specifics
Raphah Institute is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Home-Based Child Care Business Development Coach. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Spanish-speaking home-based child care providers in acquiring knowledge and skills to manage their business, increase quality, and strengthen fiscal sustainability. As a bilingual coach, you will help providers gain business acumen to support efficient operations and enhance business practices.
The Home-based Family Childcare coach works collaboratively on the Early Embrace Family Childcare Network team. The coach will promote reflection, guidance and structure where needed, and focus on strengths, collaboration, and common issues of concern. They are responsible for ensuring high-quality professional development and training that occurs through modeling, co-planning, co-presenting, and providing feedback to educators. The coach will demonstrate and model a passion for restorative and social justice through the lens of early childhood education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build Strong relationships with program participants
-Ability to implement effective techniques for adult learning
- Provide coaching and support to Spanish speaking program participants addressing specific home-based child care business needs and challenges within their unique settings
- Facilitate regularly scheduled coaching and training sessions on entrepreneurship and business development, both in person and virtually
- Offer resources and strategies to program participants to enhance relationships, create appropriate learning environments, and teach social emotional skills
- Support providers in navigating the DHS family child care program licensing process
- Provide professional development opportunities for program participants to promote best business practices and build their capacity as home-based child care business owners and operators
- Assist program participants in creating culturally responsive environments for children
- Promote the use of technology with program participants
- Maintain accurate records of coaching sessions
- Collect relevant program data and enter data in SalesForce
- Work flexible hours to meet the needs of program participants. May include some weekends and evening hours
Educational Requirements
High School diploma or diploma equivalent
Three years experience working in education, child care, early learning or a related field
Preferred Knowledge (not required but makes you a more competitive applicant):
Microsoft Office Suite
Data entry
Preferred Experience (not required but makes you a more competitive applicant):
Experience working with adult learners
Experience working with small business start-up
Required Personal Competencies:
Fluency in both Spanish and English: speaking, listening, reading, and writing
Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Communication Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of program participants and stakeholders.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
