About You

 

You’re a market researcher who moves easily between qualitative and quantitative analysis. You understand how to set research goals aligned to company objectives, choose scalable research methods, and interpret findings that lead to actionable insights. You have excellent communication and organizational skills and are able to organize findings and present them in accessible ways to multiple stakeholders, including executives. You can zoom in or out depending on the research challenge. You are solutions oriented, and appreciate seeing your insights put into action – whether they are influencing product design or marketing strategy. 


What You'll Do


  • Produce ongoing comprehensive competitor analysis: research competitor software, financials, marketing, pricing and packaging. Interpret research findings and distill into actionable insights. 

  • Analyze industry trends and market landscape, including market sizing and opportunity assessment. 

  • Develop and maintain processes and systems for external information gathering, timely analysis and efficient communications, including distributing regular findings for internal consumption, ie. internal newsletter. 

  • Work with marketing, sales, and product development to support GTM. 

  • Coordinate and manage win/loss/churn customer research, including customer segment selection, interview guide creation, regular distillation of findings.

  • Support survey design and analysis


We'd Like To See

 

  • 5+ years in competitor, market and/or customer research (within consumer goods or sustainability a plus) with experience delivering research insights that directly impact R&D and marketing strategy. 

  • Experience building competitor analysis programs from the ground up.  

  • Experience with customer insights, including win/loss/churn analysis.

  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis. 

  • Experience delivering findings and communicating insights across company and stakeholder groups, specifically marketing, sales and product teams.

  • Strong organizational skills, experience developing research processes and systems for external information gathering. 

  • Slidecraft and lightweight presentation skills are a strong plus.
