About You

 

You’re an events manager who moves easily between in-person and virtual events: creating, launching, and managing every aspect. You understand how to research, choose, and secure the best corporate opportunities to meet and exceed goals. You have excellent organizational skills and take initiative in suggesting ways to optimize opportunities. You are comfortable managing large budgets, directing colleagues, working with partners, engaging with attendees at in-person events, and researching and managing various software platforms. You are customer-centric and can envision and create content with the lens of benefit to the customer. 


What You'll Do


  • Research, suggest, manage, and own the Higg event strategy. Understand the events in which Higg can and should participate. Work within the budget to choose external events for Higg participation based on corporate goals of lead generation, brand awareness, and product launches. This includes Higg-sponsored and produced events as well as partner events. 

  • Work with staff to research, plan, prepare, and execute events, both in-person, self-produced, internal, and virtual. 

  • Provide expertise with respect to the budgeting, timing, and resources necessary for events and ensure that capabilities, standards, and best practices are in line with expectations.

  • Serve as the contact throughout the planning process and manage the overall project scope, timeline and communication - both externally and internally.

  • Work cross functionally to ensure timely delivery of required pre-event assets, and event-specific content, both printed and digital.

  • Plan and lead kickoff and subsequent meetings with colleagues, clients, partners, and vendors in preparing conferences or virtual events. Coordinate in leading training and rehearsals to ensure all presenters and staff are prepared for the event.

  • Ensure events are profiled online and marketed through social channels as part of our demand gen program.

  • Skilled at keeping cool in stressful “live production” environments and able to quickly address and resolve technology and situation issues that may arise.

  • Ensure the seamless and efficient flow of information and communication between the various departments at Higg to include marketing, sales, customer success, and executives. This may include sales training for pre- and post-event promotion and follow-up. 

  • Performs post-event content analysis and reporting metrics.

  • Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in in-person events and digital content delivery, production, social media, and virtual programming. These may include but are not limited to: In-person events/trade shows, webinars, podcasts, executive dinners/briefing, Twitter chats, seminars, Customer Advisory Boards, All-Hands meetings/events, and more.


We'd Like To See

 

  • 4+ years in event management (within consumer goods or sustainability a plus)

  • Experience with virtual event management platforms 

  • Social media and light video editing experience a plus

  • Experience working directly with executives, customers, and partners

  • Strong time-management skills and experience managing a large budget 

  • Content creation experience with exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of lead generation process - working with sales and marketing 

 

Location Requirements


Location is flexible, though ideally will allow for high degrees of collaboration with the Executive Team and major customers. Preferred working location is in close proximity to a hub international airport.
