The Opportunity:

 

In this role, you’ll work on our growing Sales & Business Development team to help our prospective and existing clients (primarily brands and retailers) identify the right tools and services to support their sustainability journeys, and therefore driving revenue growth at Higg. Your efforts will emphasize the uptake of Higg’s brand tools like the Brand and Retailer Module, and our product tools like the Product Module and the Materials Sustainability Index. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Development, you will be a close partner to our Customer Success and Marketing teams, to help identify opportunities to increase the value of our current accounts, as well as proactively engage with new prospects. This is a remote position, preferably based in the United States or Europe.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the sales process and pipeline, while developing relationships with current and potential clients

  • Support revenue growth by proactively identifying potential clients for our products and services

  • Provide demos of the platform and help identify the Higg tools and services that can support prospective clients in their sustainability journeys

  • Work with Customer Success and operations to deliver proposals and contracts to clients that Higg can profitably and successfully deliver

  • Work closely with Customer Success to ensure successful onboarding for new and existing customers

  • Collaborate with the Partnerships team to jointly cultivate potential customers, and ensure successful sell-through of new Higg partnerships

  • Directly work to ensure successful renewals of our existing small and medium enterprise customers

  • Provide valuable strategic input to the sales strategy and share insights about customer demand and feedback that will inform our product development roadmap

  • Identify opportunities for strategic pilots and partnerships that may support with long-term value creation

  • Flexible to work early or late hours

  • Willing to travel globally to support Higg Co’s client base of global organizations

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Prior experience in a team within a remote or partially distributed work environment (or clear, demonstrated comfort level with this type of environment)

  • 1-2 years of experience engaging with external clients and stakeholders

  • Experience in a technology/SaaS organization within a fast-paced growing environment is a plus

  • The ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and a level of comfort navigating ambiguity in your role

  • Confident with exercising ambivalence being debatable when collaborating with leadership and the team

  • Possess strong analytical skills and take a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Complex project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Fluency across a variety of technology tools including project management or customer success software, Microsoft office and Google suite

 


Preferred Qualifications:

 

    • A commitment to sustainability as evidenced by your professional or life experience is a plus
    • Knowledge of sustainability or Higg Index tools
    • The ability to bring a sense of levity and perspective to the table.
