Digital Content Manager, Higg

Remote. Location flexible.

Who We Are:

Higg is a technology company on a mission to help consumer goods industries change the way things are made today, for a better world tomorrow.

As the leading sustainability insights platform, we help brands, retailers, and their suppliers across the world measure, manage, and share data on their social and environmental impact. From materials to products, from factories to stores, across energy, waste, water, and working conditions, Higg provides the comprehensive intelligence businesses need to make better decisions for their and all of our futures.

We’re seeing the hard work of our customers and team rewarded every day as the number of brands, retailers and manufacturers addressing their impact grows. Higg is enabling meaningful progress, as year-over-year performance data shows real reductions in carbon emissions and other key metrics.

Higg is the exclusive licensee of the Higg Index, a suite of tools developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition for the standardized measurement of supply chain sustainability, used by the footwear, apparel, textile and other industries.

About the Role:

We are seeking a strong content creator, campaigner and digital storyteller to join our team as a Digital Content Manager. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with the marketing, customer success, partnership, product, sales, and analytics organizations at Higg to effectively interpret and communicate our brand story and help effectively position our mission, products, and services with customers and stakeholders.

You’ll develop content that educates and inspires action, showcasing how Higg’s software tools and services reduce environmental impact and improve social impacts up and down global value chains. You’ll find the conversations and communities where Higg can help shape the conversation and catalyze change.

The ideal candidate is a communications generalist, equally comfortable creating the plan and the content to support it. With a keen eye for detail and an appreciation of nuance, you’ll play a central role in contributing to Higg’s brand-building and customer experience efforts.

This role will have a high level of ownership and visibility across the organization. You’ll be our in-house expert for digital content, providing best practice counsel internally, working with external partners to amplify efforts and laying the foundations for future growth, ours and yours.

What You'll Do:

  • You’ll be responsible for Higg’s digital marketing and content activity, creating and implementing strategic content plans for both B2B and B2C engagement, using social platforms, web, and email as your primary brand building and engagement tools.

  • You’ll increase traffic, convert leads into customers, inspire brand ambassadors, drive growth, and deepen engagement across all key audiences.

  • Define and execute our digital content strategy and calendar across multiple platforms, including web and social.

  • Develop marketing campaigns that help build our brand and accelerate industry change.

  • Manage the strategic campaign execution for all user-direct email across Higg (marketing, activation/reactivation, triggered, and transactional campaigns) with a constant focus on optimization to achieve conversions and other key engagement goals.

  • Leverage existing content, publish new content, and build connections with customers, advocates, content creators, influencers, and brand ambassadors across social channels.

  • Define and drive content marketing objectives and key results and continually monitor, analyze, and report achievement against these objectives to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Create written content and collaborate with visual designers to develop social content, stories, and email campaigns to support marketing initiatives.

  • Provide guidance, training, and best practice recommendations to internal stakeholders on the use of social media to drive engagement and other key metrics.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, agencies and designers to bring your vision to fruition.

What we’re looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience in social media/digital communications, including at least a year building and executing social media strategy.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, or related field or equivalent experience.

  • B2B marketing experience, particularly within a SaaS business.

  • Experience with social media analytics, Google Analytics, SEO, and other measurement tools.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including creative and professional writing and editing.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, while also fanatical when it comes to detail.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize the most impactful and important work on your plate and deliver on time.

  • Agility and attitude to flex and do whatever it takes in the early stages of building this function.

  • Proven relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills both internally and customer facing.

  • The experience, expertise, and diplomacy necessary to help navigate roadblocks.

  • Demonstrated professional or personal interest in sustainability and impact is strongly preferred.
