Who We Are:

Higg is a technology company on a mission to help consumer goods industries change the way things are made today, for a better world tomorrow.

As the leading sustainability insights platform, we help brands, retailers, and their suppliers across the world measure, manage, and share data on their social and environmental impact. From materials to products, from factories to stores, across energy, waste, water, and working conditions, Higg provides the comprehensive intelligence businesses need to make better decisions for their and all of our futures.

We’re seeing the hard work of our customers and team rewarded every day as the number of brands, retailers, and manufacturers addressing their impact grows. Higg is enabling meaningful progress, as year-over-year performance data shows real reductions in carbon emissions and other key metrics.

Higg is the exclusive licensee of the Higg Index, a suite of tools developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition for the standardized measurement of supply chain sustainability, used by the footwear, apparel, textile, and other industries.

About the Role:

We are seeking a savvy B2B marketer with deep curiosity for our customer needs to join our team as a Senior Product Marketing Manager. In this role, you’ll work cross-functionally with the customer success, product, sales, analytics, and marketing organizations at Higg to effectively interpret and communicate the value proposition of our products and services to prospective customers and the market at large. You’ll define and create messaging that evangelizes how Higg’s software tools and services reduce environmental impacts and improve social performance up and down global value chains.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, capable of guiding competitive positioning and strategy; while simultaneously being excited to deliver and execute in a hands-on manner. You’ll bring a keen eye for detail across external and internal-facing content, contributing to Higg’s brand-building effort.

Experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting market insights is important and teams will be looking to you for strong data-backed recommendations. This role will have a high level of ownership and visibility across the organization.

What You'll Do:

  • Own product positioning and messaging: develop a compelling narrative and value propositions for Higg’s growing product suite.

  • Define and understand our current customers, prospective customers, the competition, and how Higg’s technology uniquely serves its users and their organizations.

  • Establish the competitive intelligence competency for our organization and serve as an internal subject matter expert on our market position and opportunities.

  • Partner with marketing and communications colleagues and agencies to build content and collateral (pitch decks, website, videos, blogs, etc.) that showcase the value of our products and services).

  • Work closely with our partners and industry experts to ensure effective thought leadership and ongoing relevance in the market.

  • Drive strategy around product positioning for existing and new products, and play a leadership role in product launches, coordinating with cross-functional teams.

  • Develop GTM strategies to help accelerate new pipeline and upsell opportunities.

  • Develop the playbooks and associated suite of materials that supports customer engagement, outbound messaging, and sales.

  • Develop compelling customer case studies and testimonials.

What We're Looking For:

  • 7+ years of work experience in a marketing/strategic function.

  • Adept in a fast-paced start-upenvironment. In particular, if you've worked at a high-growth SaaS company, and are eager to apply your lessons towards sustainability, we’d love to hear from you.

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills — has previous writing/content development samples to point to.

  • Strong project management and analytical skills.

  • Proven ability managing complex marketing/sales requests for cross-channel collateral.

  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross functional teams.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment. A resourceful, high-energy go-getter.

  • Makes things happen and makes a difference, even when all the pieces aren’t clear.

  • Agility, with the ability and attitude to flex and do whatever it takes in the early stages of building this function.

  • The experience, expertise, and diplomacy necessary to help navigate roadblocks.

  • Expertise in and passion for market research, analysis, and synthesis to inform our GTM approach.

  • Demonstrated professional or personal interest in sustainability and impact is strongly preferred.

Life at Higg:

We’re motivated by the opportunity to help customers improve every aspect of the trillion-dollar industries that touch everyone’s lives. We want business to change for good, but in a way that adds up to industry-scale change, because no business can change the world alone and doing just one thing for a positive headline won't change our world fast enough. Agree?

  • Be part of a team that includes software engineers, sustainability professionals, business leaders, marketers, designers, artists, number crunchers and more than a handful of farmers! (From backyard mushrooms to multi-acre orchards.)

  • Surround yourself with the kindest, smartest, most enthusiastic, and dedicated people you’ll ever meet, who dream big, listen well, learn from their mistakes, and when things go wrong, pull together to help each other out.

  • Enjoy benefits including a generous vacation policy, flexible working locations, benefits packaging which includes health (medical, dental, vision) and flexible spending benefits, and retirement matching plan.

Because Higg is on a mission to change how things are made, for the planet and each of us on it, we believe it’s essential to reflect the diversity of those we strive to serve. We’re an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building a culturally and experientially diverse team that leads and works with empathy and respect.
