SUMMARY:


We are looking for a passionate Email Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. You will be responsible for generating and optimizing email campaigns through testing & experiments. In this role, you will work closely with the marketing and creative team to provide great customer experiences and improve customer engagement and retention.


The ability to create effective upsell, retention, win-back and customer satisfaction emails in a fast pace environment is essential for success.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Deploy and manage email campaigns including but not limited to editing messages, leading design and copy reviews, structuring AB tests, schedule deliveries, and create sophisticated/complex audience segmentation

  • Create audience segments based on demographic, behavioral, psychographic, and other criteria and run highly personalized email campaigns

  • Run lead nurturing activities, i.e., guide the audience through the funnel by sending downloadable guides, free trials, etc. based on the stage of the buyer’s journey

  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to ideate, test, and scale top-performing email messaging and visual creative.

  • Complete audits of existing campaigns to identify areas of weakness and opportunity for improvement.

  • Optimize and implement best practices with an eye for scalable efficiency and automation.

  • Increase the number of email list subscribers, plus develop and implement subscriber segments.

  • QA campaigns for functionality, rendering, tracking, and customer experience

  • Maintain a current understanding and application of email best practices

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest email marketing technology developments.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.

  • Responsible for weekly & monthly email reporting, including customer engagement metrics, trends, test results, and campaign performance.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to seven years related experience and/or training;  or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Analytically minded, comfortable manipulating, visualizing and interpreting data in excel

  • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing

  • Working knowledge in web analytics/reporting tools.

  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized; proven experience meeting deadlines.

 

 

 

  • Ability to work independently with limited direction; skilled at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Copywriting/ copy-editing skills

  • Basic knowledge of SEO and keyword research/ranking is desirable

  • Knowledge of CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and email deliverability best practices


 COMPUTER SKILLS:

 

  • Microsoft Office – Excel specifically. Your Excel knowledge is extensive enough to utilize spreadsheets to organize complex data sets for reporting and tracking.

  • Hands-on experience using Klaviyo. Experience with MailChimp also highly desired 

  • Experience designing Lead Generation Funnels (Manychat, Unbounce)

  • Intermediate knowledge of HTML specifically for the email channel. Capacity to use HTML and CSS in email production
