SUMMARY:

The Digital Graphic Designer is responsible for designing visual communications for web, social media, Amazon and other digital platforms. This person will work closely with both the creative and marketing team to develop visual communications for email marketing, targeted online marketing, social media campaigns and much more. Must be familiar with high-level design concepts and practices, have an eye for detail, and experience designing advertisements in the digital space.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

  • Support both the creative and marketing department, contributing to ideas for the implementation of engaging, strategic visual communications

  • Create banner images and supporting graphics for email communications, including targeted sales, special events, and general customer outreach

  • Create multi-sized banner packages for Amazon marketing

  • Develop graphics and strategies for social media marketing on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and beyond

  • Craft engaging infographics/data visualizations to support digital marketing materials

  • Be responsible for minimizing errors and consistently delivering high-quality, professional work

  • Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and esthetic design concepts.

  •  Draws sample of finished layout.

  •  Ensures consistency of design.

  • Prepares notes and instructions for workers who assemble and prepare final layouts for printing.

  •  Reviews final layout and suggests improvements as needed.

  •  Key information into computer equipment to create layouts for clients or supervisors.

  •  Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material according to instructions of the client or supervisor.

  •  Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer.

  •  Ensure that all design work aligns with Physician's Choice's brand identity

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Tools, Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom (required). Experience with Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver a plus.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred

  • 3+ years related experience and/or training preferred

  • Demonstrate a high understanding of design principles (spacial aesthetics, typography, illustration and graphic

  • treatments) while working within an established brand identity

  •  Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign

  • Basic understanding of HTML and CSS code

  •  Experience designing infographics/data visualizations

  •  Experience designing social media graphics/campaigns

  •  Experience designing for email marketing

  •  An eye for photography and curating stock photos when needed

  •  Familiarity with SEO optimization of images, etc.
