We seek a motivated Logistics & Supply Specialist to join our growing and dynamic team. PolarityBio is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company located in Salt Lake City, Utah with the goal of developing first-in-class skin regenerative products.
The Logistics & Supply Specialist will be responsible for coordinating all activities related to logistics and supply chain management.
The role will partner closely with Finance, Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Clinical Operations to ensure efficient material flow and reliable product distribution.
You will have opportunities to participate in various projects and initiatives in addition to these primary responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Manage product logistics with commercial and contracted carriers and courier services.
- Manage incoming materials including receiving, inspection coordination, labeling, storage, and documentation in accordance with cGMP requirements.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments of finished product and supplies with physicians and clinical sites, including preparing shipment documentation, maintaining chain-of-custody, and verifying temperature-controlled shipping requirements.
- Maintain inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, proper lot tracking, timely replenishment, and adherence to FEFO/expiration management.
- Support material release activities in collaboration with QA, including ensuring documentation completeness and maintaining appropriate storage until release.
- Maintain the warehouse and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness, organization, environmental monitoring, and compliance with internal SOPs.
- Assist in supplier management by tracking supply usage, lead times, delays, and communicating supply risks to internal teams.
- Support audits and inspections by maintaining complete and accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
- Contribute to building out a world-class logistics, warehousing, and supply chain function within a rapidly growing organization.
- Be available for infrequent weekend shipments.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
- Experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, business, or a related technical field.
- Experience in GMP, biotech, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, shipping regulations, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience with temperature-controlled or cold-chain shipping is a plus.
- Strong computer skills with proven proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and inventory management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accuracy under time pressure, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced Startup environment.
