The Synergos Institute: Senior Manager, Digital Communications

We’re looking for a creative, organized, digitally savvy communicator who loves turning information into inspiration. In this role, you’ll help shape how Synergos shows up in the world through engaging stories, sharp content, thoughtful messaging, and polished digital communications. You’ll work closely with colleagues around the world, bringing fresh ideas and curiosity to every project. What you’ll do
Bring Our Story to Life
- Write and edit messaging, newsletters, announcements, accomplishments and other communications that highlight our work and approach.
- Translate ideas into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
Drive Digital Engagement
- Help manage our website and social media channels—draft posts, schedule content, monitor engagement, and track what’s working.
- Support digital campaigns around major events, initiatives, and stories.
- Collaborate with teams globally to gather stories, updates, quotes, and visuals.
- Support production of publications, graphics, and digital assets.
Support Media and Stakeholder Outreach
- Maintain media lists, track coverage, help draft pitch materials, and prepare background documents.
- Assist with communications for convenings, and donor events.
- Help keep our global team aligned with clear messaging, updates, and shared tools.
- Contribute to internal engagements and communications resources.
Coordinate with External Partners
- Work with a boutique communications firm on specialized projects and marketing initiatives.
- Serve as the internal point of contact to ensure alignment with organizational messaging and priorities.
- Manage timelines and deliverables between the firm and internal teams.

What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, or marketing
- Strong writing and editing skills (bonus points if you love crafting great headlines!)
- Experience with digital platforms (social media, web, email marketing tools)
- Ability to manage multiple projects with grace, positivity, and attention to detail
- Comfort working with diverse teams, time zones, and perspectives
- A passion for social impact, equity, and global collaboration
- Design or multimedia experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video tools)
- Background in international development, philanthropy, fundraising or global nonprofits
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required in communications, journalism, international relations, or related field preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
