Location: New York | Full-Time | Hybrid

Are you passionate about building meaningful relationships and driving social impact? Synergos is looking for a dynamic Senior Philanthropy Engagement Officer to lead member engagement and growth for our Global Philanthropists Circle (GPC) across the U.S. and Canada.

This is a unique opportunity to work with some of the world’s most thoughtful and committed philanthropists, helping them connect, learn, and collaborate on bold solutions to global challenges.

As the Senior Philanthropy Engagement Officer, you’ll be the trusted connector, welcoming new changemakers, sparking powerful collaborations, and guiding members to deepen their impact through Synergos’ Bridging Leadership approach.

Founded by Peggy Dulany and her late father, David Rockefeller, the Global Philanthropists Circle (GPC) is a unique community of philanthropists—individuals and families from more than 30 countries. The Circle brings together value-driven philanthropists committed to deepening their impact through reflection, learning, and collective action. We lead with inner work, build trust, and create brave spaces to reimagine the future of giving.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for GPC members in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring a personalized and high-quality experience.
  • Understand members’ philanthropic priorities and create opportunities for learning, collaboration, and system-level impact.
  • Lead membership growth by identifying, cultivating, and engaging new families aligned with Synergos’ mission.
  • Represent Synergos and the GPC at events, conferences, and private convenings across the philanthropic ecosystem.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in New York and globally to deliver a consistent and inspiring experience for all members.
  • Contribute creative ideas and leadership to enhance the GPC’s overall value proposition and global influence.
  • Facilitate opportunities for members to support and co-invest in Synergos’ Bridging Leadership initiatives in countries where we work.

What We’re Looking For

  • A strategic thinker with deep experience in philanthropy, social investment, family office advisory, or related fields ideally, 10+ years.
  • Creative connector who inspires and mobilizes others around shared values and bold ideas.
  • Proven relationship builder with a strong track record in partnership development and new business growth.
  • Someone with in-depth knowledge of the North American philanthropic landscape, and a global perspective on giving trends.
  • A curious and solutions-oriented mindset—you see opportunities where others see challenges.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, with the ability to ask the right questions and present ideas that spark action.
  • The emotional intelligence, integrity, and gravitas to build trust across cultures and generations.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven global team.
