Job Summary:


The Federal Sales Executive develops, supports, and grows government partnerships with Beep, Inc. This role will be responsible for creating opportunities to drive new revenue in US Government programs via both indirect and direct sales efforts. A successful candidate will anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Beep’s key customers, and understand how our solutions and offerings can support their mission.

The primary accountability will be to increase strategic sales for Beep by pursuing partnerships with federal organizations seeking to transform mobility in the areas of electric, autonomous platforms.  An understanding of grants and federal practices for procurements are critical. In close partnership with company leadership, this role will lead the organization to strategically align with the appropriate government accounts and generate profitable growth by securing contracts for Beep services with these federal partners. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in enterprise sales within the federal government marketplace. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of success in achieving sales goals in complex technology selling scenarios, but also an ability to execute on a consultative, solution-based selling approach.

This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC

Responsibilities:


·       Create opportunities to win new business in select federal accounts

·       Research opportunities, organizations, and relevant decision makers

·       Proactively identify, develop and drive longer-term strategies and initiatives that will deliver rapid business growth in conjunction with government channel partners.

·       Work cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to develop go-to-market strategies and execution.

·       Determine governmental needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information

·       Provide information for management via short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses

·       Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners, discovering and exploring opportunities 

·       Seek to acquire new business opportunities as well as uncover potential growth opportunities

·       Seek out key decision makers and develop working relationships across government entities, departments, and branches

·       Participate in planning meetings with clients and contribute ideas to the overall strategy and ultimate mission/client delivery.

·       Represent Beep and the AV industry at business functions

·       Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to role and organization

·       Act as a liaison between Beep and assigned governmental partners

·       Build, maintain, and manage relationships with key personnel in assigned territory

·       Coordinate the involvement of Beep Team Members, including support, engineering, service, and management resources in order to meet performance objectives and partners’ expectations

·       Manage direct and channel conflicts by fostering excellent communication between the channel and direct teams

·       Participate in a partner planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive partner relationship

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or related field and a minimum of five years of progressive value-based selling experience, including selling to US government agencies
  • Proven work experience in government sales, grants, and vendor services. 
  • Demonstrated success in securing and maximizing national, strategic, and key account relationships
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience selling to, or being employed within, the Federal Government
  • Proven experience in selling, and implementing, complex technology solutions and strategic partner development
  • Strong understanding of Government regulations, requirements, and purchasing and procurement processes.
  • Proven experience in developing business within the Federal Government, specific targets may include Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Interior (DOI), Department of Defense (DOD) and others. 

Physical Requirements:

Travel up to 25%
