QuickPouch is an established leader in the design, manufacture and customization of unique automated packaging machines for the medical device, cosmetic and high-end product industries. We currently have an opening in our Ronkonkoma, NY location for a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop a product/product family.

•Manage projects from concept to engineers through testing and delivery.

• Follow production procedures, efficiently utilize materials and personnel.

• Design components and assemblies, source hardware, detail prints release complete package to production.

• Interface design, packaging, performance specification and system validation, product sourcing and release for production.

• Develop manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards

• Extended responsibilities include team leadership, system calibration, support the analysis and resolution of warranty claims, and implementation of cost reduction initiatives and product launch support.

Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency with 3D modeling tools such as Auto CAD Mechanical and Inventor.

• Experience with vertical mills, lathes, CNC mills and sheet metal.

• Machine design experience a plus.

• Experience with dimensional tolerance (GD&T), inspection techniques is a plus.

• Experience developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.

• Fluent in the understanding of automated processes and production style equipment.

• A motivated creative individual with a 'Can Do Attitude'.

• Experience creating Bills of Material

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 2+ years of experience a plus.

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

• Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Autodesk Inventor Preferred

• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge
