Job Description:

As IT Manager you will assist internal customers with analysis of systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide strategic guidance for future growth. A hands-on IT professional, interested in growing a team and remaining close to the technology. Extensive knowledge of various operating systems, infrastructure maintenance and experience with translating business objectives into IT projects keeping the company ahead of growth challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily essential IT operations including but not limited to: Core infrastructure, OS Management, monitoring, patch management, network/email security, antivirus, Office 365, Gmail, and end user hardware and software.

  • Ensure a secure environment for the safe and effective operation of all computer/network systems, related applications, hardware, and software used within the company.

  • Collaborate with staff to maintain and troubleshoot hardware/software issues.

  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software

  • Analyze department needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity and efficiency by using data provided by the service desk.

  • Continuously analyze current process, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement.

  • Provide guidance to employees on IT best practices with focus on security

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information technology and/or business and/or combination of experience and education.

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience with or administration of OS, core infrastructure hardware, (O365, Active Directory, and other Windows-based systems).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of information technology procedures and practices.
