Language I/O seeks an experienced Scrum Master to guide and oversee Scrum teams. You must have a strong technical background to understand complex backend user stories and issues. To be a successful Scrum Master, you must fully understand Agile practices. This job requires excellent flexibility, problem-solving, interpersonal, emotional intelligence,  and project management skills. In addition, you need to be proficient at facilitating decision-making processes, meetings, and eliminating team impediments.  Our preferred candidate will be excited to embody the role of servant leader and will be able to support an engaging and enjoyable environment. 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Facilitate Scrum events.

  • Coach team members and organization about Agile frameworks.

  • Ensure team data and boards are updated and accurate.

  • Champion data-driven and team-driven incremental improvements.

  • Track metrics and use data to improve outcomes and transparency.

  • Facilitate effective collaboration and internal and external communication.

  • Proactively remove impediments and blockers.

  • Nurture teams’ health and growth.

  • Support the team in value-driven deliveries and achieving sprint goals.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and maintain a healthy backlog.

  • Help teams navigate change effectively.

  • Ensure deliverables are of quality standards by the end of every sprint.

  • Help development teams attain a higher level of Scrum maturity.

  • Create a productive environment where team members feel confident, heard,  and enjoy work. 

  • Empathetically resolve conflict and issues.

 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical discipline. 

  • Must have at least 5 years experience in the Scrum master role in a SaaS company

  • Must understand backend software development. 

  • Excellent knowledge of Scrum Agile

  • Excellent servant leadership and presentation skills. 

  • Conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Outstanding organizational skills. 

  • Scrum master certification

  • Experience using Jira

Additional qualification

  • Jira admin skills

  • Project management experience

  •  Available to work during standard Mountain Time business hours.

This is a 100% remote, full-time, salaried, exempt position. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the United States of America for any employer.
