Position Title: Title Curative Coordinator

Immediate Manager: Supervisor – Title Curative

Department: Foreclosure

Position Summary:

The primary objective of the Title Curative Coordinator is to ensure resolution of all required title activities and title issues by our outside title curative vendors and legal counsel. 

Key Accountabilities

• Manage the productivity of outside title curative vendors by monitoring and resolving any roadblocks that could hinder completing all requirements within established Service Level Agreements.
• Maintain curative portfolio of titles, including: aging, impediments and ETA.
• Contact servicers and foreclosure attorneys to obtain necessary documents.
• Ensure that all bills are paid and current.
• Communicate with servicers to ensure that all information is current and updated.
• Cure title impairments by obtaining lien releases and negotiate with the title provider to determine resolution of judgments, senior liens, and others issues.
• Manage time sensitive deadlines and communicate with cross-functional teams in order to meet all SLA’s.
• Order the filing of title claims, working with attorneys to resolve title issues, or defense litigation surrounding title defects that cause an impediment to obtaining title to the property or conveying title to investors/insurers.
• Additional relevant responsibilities required to ensure successful attainment of Foreclosure and Title Curative SLA’s, goals and initiatives.

Selection Criteria

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field strongly preferred (equivalent work experience considered).
• 3+ years’ experience in financial services preferably mortgage servicing and/or mortgage originations to include any combination of the following: Closing, Post-close Auditing, Foreclosure and/or Title Curative.  Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) experience including knowledge and understanding of the regulatory environment a plus.
• Advanced Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word is required.
• Able to successfully operate in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
