Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Financial Analyst will assist in the preparation of the company’s annual operating budget as well as producing forecasts, month-end close responsibilities, financial modeling and other analysis & ad hoc reporting as needed.

How This Role Contributes

The Financial Analyst will assist in the coordinating, conducting and documenting of the company’s annual operating budget including additional quarterly forecasting.  Development, creation, administration, maintenance, analysis and communication of financial & forecasting models will be a primary function for the Financial Analyst.  The Analyst will be working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and individual business units to provide trending and variance analysis, assumption reviews and other ad-hoc analysis as requested.   The Analyst will need to proactively seek automation opportunities to ease in the compilation of data as well as support the strategic planning process by providing timely and accurate estimates.  This is a highly visible role as the Financial Analyst will develop, prepare and maintain ongoing management reports to monitor and communicate business performance and results.  Not only will the Financial Analyst be exposed to corporate financial planning and analysis but also the Analyst will gain exposure to the mortgage operations through efforts such as extracting loan level data from relevant internal systems to aid in analysis and reporting.

The Right Candidate

We are looking for a candidate who possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting or related discipline coupled with up to 3 years of corporate finance experience.  Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel to include VLOOKUP’s, if statements and other financial modeling tools is required.  Experience with Adaptive Insights Reporting tool & Workday G/L system is strongly preferred.
