Software Developer Engineer in Test

EZLynx is looking for a Developer who wants to help us transform how we approach testing software for the insurance industry. Someone that can take their passion for software automation testing and work with agile teams on how to best apply those concepts. The ideal software engineer will have a passion for testing, a bias for delivering results, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and can see the big picture in order to invent new solutions as well as simplify existing ones.

 

This position will be responsible for carrying out the vision of 100% test automation and zero defects to production. Successful execution of this role will combine fluency in test automation frameworks, attention to detail, analytical skills, and understanding of business processes and unwavering dedication to software quality.

 

In This Role You’ll:

·         Design, implement, document and execute automation test frameworks and suites which can deliver comprehensive automated test coverage with a balanced maintenance and sustainability strategy

·         Specify and automate test scenarios and test data for a highly complex business by analyzing integration points, data flows, personas, authorization schemes and environments

·         Improve test coverage in various layers and tiers including client side, server side and APIs

·         Integrate automated testing into the build and release pipeline with consideration for various environments including Development, Test, UAT, Demo and Production

·         Provide reporting data and dashboards to ensure visibility of quality across products, builds and environments

·         Monitor quality in production and non-production environments

·         Work with agile teams to drive the transformation of a legacy code base to be more autonomous and sustainable

·         Maintain and update automated test systems as functionality changes evolve the products

·         Work Independently to help build Test automation framework and develop automation scripts

·         Overtime with some evening and weekend work required

 

Here’s What You Bring:

·         B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field  

• 3+ years' experience testing software
• 2+ years' of experience building test automation frameworks and developing automation scripts in Selenium Webdriver using Java

·         Experience in working on CI/CD tools like Octopus, Jenkins, TeamCity

·         Experience with Source Code management tools like Git, SVN

• Solid Computer Science and well-rounded engineering skills and equivalent experience
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

 

Preferred but not Required:

•         Scripting languages experience: PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript, Groovy

•         Solid understanding of various technologies and systems such as HTTP specifications, REST APIs and Angular based web applications

•         Experience with one or more of the following sets of technologies: nUnit, xUnit, Postman, Selenium, Katalon Studio, Guage, JMeter, TestRails, Jasmine, Mocha, Splunk, New Relic

•         Experience with testing patterns and best practices including test driven development (TDD) and behavior driven development (BDD) 

•         Experience writing, debugging, optimizing and scaling automated test scripts

•         Experience with software integration builds

•         Expertise in test plan development, including countering confirmation bias

•         Microsoft stack experience: C#, Asp.Net, .Net, SQL
