Cloud Engineer

EZLynx is looking for a Cloud Engineer who can take part in shaping the course for cloud deliverability.  The Cloud Engineer will join the hardware and infrastructure engineering teams to support cloud migration activities as well as new development. This position will deliver solutions to the business and technical units that will drive a shift from infrastructure on hardware in a datacenter to infrastructure as code (IaC).  Successful candidates for this position will have a deep understanding of cloud design and provisioning through automated processes.

In This Role You'll:

·         Produce and maintain cloud infrastructure and associated templates

·         Develop and enhance DevOps methods for IT infrastructure

·         Design and deploy Microsoft-based systems to Azure

·         Act as liaison between Infrastructure and DevOps teams

·         Work independently or as a team on multiple projects

·         Contribute to and maintain design documentation

·         Orchestrate and automate hybrid cloud infrastructure

·         Support ongoing operations of cloud environment.  Determine root cause for issues ranging from simple to complex

·         Follow a strict change control process for all changes

·         Provide on-call support for escalated issues

 

Here's What You Bring:

·         B.S in Computer Science or a related technical field

·         Relevant Azure Certification, other cloud certifications may be considered

·         10 years' experience in IT

·         3-5 years' experience as a Cloud Engineer or related position

·         3-5 years' experience automating processes using languages including PowerShell and Python

·         Strong experience with JSON

·         Strong experience with infrastructure and cloud automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Octopus, Azure Runbooks

·         Strong knowledge of on-premise virtual infrastructures running Hyper-V managed by SCVMM

 

Preferred, but not Required:

·         SIEM experience, Splunk preferred

·         Working knowledge of Azure Monitor & Kusto

·         Understanding of container technologies

·         Experience using Git & Azure DevOps
