Account Director
As an Account Director, you will be the ultimate point of accountability for client accounts. They work to help develop strategy for the clients based around company process. The Account Director manages account teams on a daily basis and leads strategic account direction for client’s engagements, from smaller innovative campaigns to larger multi-discipline online marketing engagements. Responsible for producing innovative and proven print and online marketing strategies across all practice areas, translate these strategies into tactics, navigate complex client organizations, achieve results and manage expectations. This is a key role since it often influences the degree of success and account retention and requires you to think quickly under pressure. You will report directly to the CEO, David Oldfield.
Duties:
- Own deliverables that contribute strategic value beyond day-to-day project tactics
- Establish rapport and maintain long-term relationships with clients/executives
- Ensure tactical alignment with stated goals, objectives and strategy
- Prioritize & set expectations on key deliverables
- Accountable for client results across all practice areas
- Establish effective staffing levels for each account; monitor book of business fluctuations to proactively identify project needs
- Orchestrate cross functional teams to achieve strong client results
- Actively lead and/or participate in activities such as regular update meetings, ongoing communication, etc.
- Mentor team and lead continuous improvement throughout assigned accounts
- Lead highly skilled client delivery teams to enhance and deepen client relationships
- Support business development as a situation expert
- Develop current client growth
- Meeting with clients to plan, develop and discuss their marketing/advertising needs
- Working with account team to devise a campaign that meets the client's brief and budget
- Presenting campaign ideas and cost to clients
- Briefing the creative team who will produce the campaign/design
- Negotiating with clients, solving any problems and making sure deadlines are met
- Checking and reporting on the campaign's progress
- Keeping in contact with the client at all stages of the campaign
- Managing the account's budget and invoicing the client
- Making 'pitches' to try to create new business with current clients.
