The Role and Scope of Position

The University Ambassador role is part of the Ponce Health Sciences University Ambassador Program and will support a dynamic cross-functional marketing and admissions team. The presenter will be the primary representative for Ponce Health Sciences University to Universities, Colleges, Community Colleges, High Schools, other educational institutions, and related businesses, as well as key associations and medical industry leaders. The primary responsibility of this role is to help implement and execute a best-in-class relationship management outbound recruiting program and to help with the implementation of creative engagement strategies to educate prospective students about the Ponce Health Sciences program offering. The ideal candidate must be passionate about education and excited about the opportunity to join an organization that is changing the future of healthcare industry.

 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all state and federal accreditation and college rules and regulations regarding student recruitment.
  • Create, establish, and maintain key relationships with Universities, Colleges, high schools, and professional organizations.
  • Participate in on-site enrollment activities such as open houses and guided tours.
  • Attend local conferences and events and participate in relevant student-oriented activities nationwide.
  • Maintain exceptional presentation skills; deliver persuasive and sales-oriented presentations to both small and large groups of students.
  • Coordinate and execute University outbound channel relationship management strategies within an assigned territory.
  • Achieve annual personal and team-based goals.
  • Develop University and outbound channel engagement and scholarship plans.
  • Build and maintain highly positive relationships with high-priority schools.
  • Develop exciting and creative Ponce Health Sciences University presentations and demonstrations to universities, groups, and individuals.
  • Help manage the data integrity of the marketing and admissions team
  • Develop analysis and recommendations for Executive review
  • Identify short-term and long-term trend analysis
  • Develop optimization strategies for marketing channels and key metric activity
  • Develop an annual recruitment plan that includes school engagement activities, college fairs, and attendance at healthcare industry events.
  • Traveling and on-groundwork 60% of the time

 Education and Experience

  • Preferred 2 – 4 years of work experience, but this requirement is flexible for candidates with a solid academic record or familiarity with salesforce and complex data analysis
  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory. A health sciences background is a plus for this role.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in sales and marketing and is comfortable working in a very fast-paced “start-up” environment

Key Competencies

 

  • Minimum of 1-2 years in education recruitment (ideally at the graduate level)
  • Excellent Computer skills in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word (Microsoft Access is a plus)
  • Familiarity with salesforce.com and CRM management a plus.
  • Experience in video and developing multi-media presentations is a plus.
