Ponce Health Sciences University, an accredited education institution, is recognized for its excellence in education service and research achievements. SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE: This position provides office support, event and calendar management and assists staff with student services. Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, a strong understanding of computer-based applications, and clerical abilities to perform outreach, data entry, and document imaging. 

 

Principal Duties/Responsibilities: 

§  Act as primary point of contact for campus guests by receiving visitors at reception by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them appropriately. 

§  Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls 

§  Open House/Student Success Event Coordination. 

§  Assist with administrative duties related to the daily operations of enrollment services in Admissions, Student Success, and/or Registrar. 

§  Provides document preparation, scanning, imaging, indexing and performs quality assurance of digital and physical documents for electronic storage. 

§  Other duties or special assignments/projects as deemed necessary. 

 

COMPETENCIES: To perform the job successfully, an individual must be dependable and have good inter-personal and communication/organization skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated ability to meet and/or exceed determined goals and objectives. Excellent written, verbal communication and customer service skills. Time management and the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task are required.

Minimum of an associate’s degree and 6 months experience. Associate degree or equivalent in earned college-level credit and possess a commitment to providing quality service to students seeking post-secondary education. Six (6) months of related administrative office experience in a high-traffic office environment. Preferred experience in higher education; university environment. 

 

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have general knowledge of computers including Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certifications in administrative proficiencies appreciated.
