Established and rapidly growing Millwork company is looking for a Sr. Project Manager. This could be a fast track to director role for the right individual. Sr. Project Manager will be responsible for overall project management of large and highly complex projects to ensure profitability & project success. This person will serve as a mentor to the junior members of the project management team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews scheduling for projects; conducts project planning meetings to ensure projects are completed within budget and time constraints.
  • Monitors and maintains project timelines, milestone dates and budget adherence.
  • Prices and negotiates change orders and provides workable design solutions as needed.
  • Reviews submittals for approval per plans. - Manages job costs based on budget and monthly CTC report.
  • Determines when job costs will be applied (per month) in a monthly Revenue Forecast report.
  • Processes submittals such as shop drawings and samples.
  • Processes documentation for “change orders” in a timely manner and manages cost impact as appropriate.
  • Ensures subcontractors, suppliers and employees are following specifications, drawings and construction schedules.
  • Examines drafters work for exactness, neatness and conformance to building codes, policies and implements solutions to any encountered issues during construction.
  • Maintain customer relationships so that customers request Senior Project Manager on next project.
  • Trains, mentors, and directs Project Management team.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, similar, or relevant years of experience
  • 4+ years of progressive experience, managing multiple projects
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural drawings and technical specifications required - Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite products
  • Strong leadership, organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
