The Cloud Services Engineer will be responsible for delivering cloud account vending and support services across major cloud platforms including Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) as part of a comprehensive enterprise cloud managed services offering. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and supporting cloud environments to meet the operational needs of various business units within the organization.
Qualifications include a combination of the following:
Cloud Platforms & Technologies:
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
- Cloud account vending and multi-cloud management
- Cloud resource provisioning and management
- Cloud security (IAM, encryption, security groups, firewalls)
- Cloud networking (VPCs, subnets, load balancers, VPNs)
- Cloud-native services (e.g., Azure Functions, AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions)
Infrastructure Automation:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure ARM templates)
- Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Automation scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Governance & Compliance:
- Cloud governance policies and frameworks
- Security and compliance standards (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Cloud cost management and optimization tools
Monitoring & Optimization:
- Cloud performance monitoring (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, GCP Stackdriver)
- Troubleshooting and incident management
- Cloud performance optimization
- Capacity planning and scaling
DevOps & Collaboration:
- DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control, Git)
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (development, security, infrastructure)
Soft Skills:
- Problem-solving and critical thinking
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Customer service mindset for supporting stakeholders
- Documentation and knowledge sharing
Certifications & Tools:
- Familiarity with cloud certification paths (AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, GCP Cloud Architect, OCI Architect)
- Experience with cloud cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Cost Calculator)
