Northramp is looking for smart, creative individuals interested in helping grow something truly unique in our market.  The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and administering front- and back-end functional and technical requirements for a Tableau reporting solution.  The candidate will support and oversee all design, test, implementation and maintenance activities in managing the Tableau server and related components, architecture and permissions to the data analytics, and reporting information within. Previous experience working in an Agile and DevSecOps environment, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to work independently is a must.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will provide advice and recommendations to optimize the use of Tableau as part of the portfolio of reporting solutions.  

 

We are looking for a Tableau Administrator who will:

  • Oversee and perform all system administration and change management responsibilities on the Tableau server, including server maintenance, patching, and hardware/software upgrades
  • Work within the team and customer stakeholders to support the design and development of performance scorecards, workbooks and dashboard reports
  • Develop and document standards and best practices to support Tableau development and administration
  • Design, test, implement and manage data infrastructure processes to include, but not limited to data collection, scrubbing, extraction, transformation and load (ETL) functionality, data warehousing, data analytics, data visualization and reporting
  • Support Agile-based activities and responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:

o   Scrum cadences

o   Initiative, epic and user story development and tracking

o   User story blocker analysis and resolution

  • Support common sources of technical issues or questions and make architecture or process recommendations to customer stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with project team members and client stakeholders

 

Additionally, the ideal candidate will:

  • Create and manage database views and data connections that interface with Tableau
  • Collaborate with a team of full stack developers and data engineers that provide application functionality and modernization support
  • Demonstrate experience with the following technology components:

o   Pentaho and Postgres-based databases

o   Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development and implementation via Pentaho

o   Visualization and reporting tools other than Tableau (i.e., R)

  • Manage multiple tasks with varying priorities
  • Communicate ideas in a variety of formats
  • Advanced fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Project, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.).
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service, research and resolve issues, and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, software engineering, information systems, computer engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence (BI) role working specifically with Business Community producing analytical reports/dashboards and predictive analytics
  • Ability to work independently and to be a self-starter and able to operate in a proactive way
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; logical thinker and intellectual curiosity

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working with Atlassian suite of project management tools (JIRA, Insight, Confluence)
  • Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, troubleshooting, tuning & disaster recovery
  • Strong Knowledge in BI tools including ETL, Data Warehousing, other BI tools
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Tableau software (Desktop Pro, Server, Interactor), with a strong understanding of Tableau architecture and administration
  • Foundational or working knowledge of cloud-based environments, particularly within Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
