Role Description:
Northramp is looking for smart, experienced professionals eager to take on leadership roles in helping secure critical cloud systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud security, including leading technical efforts, mentoring team members, and solving complex challenges. You will have a proven ability to design and implement secure cloud systems, ensure compliance with federal standards, and manage cybersecurity projects effectively. You must have experience with at least two leading Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or VMware. As a Northramp analyst, you will play a vital role in delivering quality cloud security solutions to our clients while helping expand our portfolio of services.
We are currently looking for a Cloud Security Analyst II who will:
- Perform all duties of the Cloud Security Analyst I role
- Provide advanced technical expertise to address complex cloud security challenges
- Lead cloud security initiatives, including risk assessments, remediation, and compliance efforts
- Mentor and develop junior team members to strengthen overall team capability
- Develop and implement advanced cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures
- Oversee the implementation of secure cloud information systems, ensuring compliance with NIST, FedRAMP, and FISMA standards
- Support audit and compliance efforts, including STIG implementation and security reporting
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to achieve cloud security goals and resolve issues
Additionally, the ideal candidate can:
- Lead DevSecOps and secure cloud system design initiatives
- Utilize advanced cloud security tools and techniques to prevent and mitigate threats
- Oversee and contribute to continuous monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and incident response in cloud environments
- Provide expert advice and solutions for system and network security in cloud platforms
- Research and recommend innovative cloud security solutions to improve overall system protection
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Certification: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent
- Minimum 4 additional years of experience beyond the Analyst I level in cloud security or a related field
- Proven ability to lead cloud security projects and mentor junior team members
- Experience working with at least two Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), such as AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OCI, or VMware
- Expertise in secure cloud system design, implementation, and compliance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related field
- Additional certifications such as CCSP, CEH, or CHFI
- Experience with cloud security and FedRAMP compliance
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and advanced threat detection techniques
