Position Summary

GrainBridge is seeking a talented and highly motivated Technical Product Owner who is passionate about working cross-functionally to assist in the building, marketing, selling, and support of the next generation of Ag software for producers. The Technical Product Owner will report to the Head of Product and will guide product development and delivery of assigned products. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join our highly collaborative agile development team utilizing the latest cloud and UI technology stacks to build customer-facing enterprise Ag solutions with a product discovery approach.  As the Technical Product Owner you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS and UI technologies to create software that will revolutionize the Ag industry.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into requirements.
  • Ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, sales, strategy, and operations.
  • Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations.
  • Understand, research and follow technical trends in the industry and in general. Able to assess emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
  • Deliver and drive the release process; document features, provide release notes, and assist with internal readiness.
  • Follow competitors and conduct capability analysis regularly.
  • Measure and monitor progress to ensure releases are delivered.
  • Develop and provide internal and customer training on how to use the product.
  • Answer incoming questions from customers, prospects, and partners about the product and its capabilities.
  • Assess and address technical risks.
  • Understand and analyze data pipelines, algorithms, and automated systems.
  • Serve as a product evangelist and subject matter expert to the technical/developer community.
  • Coordinate beta tests.
  • Use database queries to analyze performance indicators, evaluate experiments, etc.
  • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance.Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.


Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will be a proven Technical Product Owner that has Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, and/or Technology related fields 5+ years experience as a Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Business Analyst.  Successful candidates will have a proven track record of delivering solutions that provide amazing customer experiences.

  • Advanced knowledge and a history of success in agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile.
  • Proven ability to plan and deliver products in an agile environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision.
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and growing environment
  • Experienced in planning and executing through the product lifecycle and customer journeys, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements to help the executive team define the product vision.
  • Appreciate the opportunity to present to diverse audiences, including corporate executives, sales, marketing, software engineering, prospective and existing customers, and business partners.
  • Demonstrable ability to gather and transform product feedback into actionable requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent communication and user story writing skills
  • A history of delivering successful solutions on, or ahead of, time.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on highly collaborative teams to successfully design, develop, test and deploy cloud-based web solutions
  • Strong technical skills including knowledge in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Atlassian Suite, AWS, and various coding languages
  • Occasional travel required
