Position Summary

GrainBridge is seeking a talented Product Owner who is passionate about working with development teams to help build the next generation of Ag software for the World’s Producers. The Product Owner will report to the Head of Product and will guide product strategy and execution for assigned products. This position includes but is not limited to planning and leading development, product road mapping, business development and customer support, launching new products with strategies and materials, obtaining market and customer input, and assisting in product marketing activities. The individual will be responsible for delivering features to the market supported by data and market research. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join our highly collaborative agile development team working with cutting-edge AWS, Machine Learning, and UI technologies to create software that will revolutionize the Ag industry.

**This position will be remote or in our office in Omaha, NE.**

Duties and Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Manage the backlog and prepare stories for development.
  • Foster work through the engineering process.
  • Partner with User Experience and Technical teams.
  • Build and maintain the product roadmap(s).
  • Demo products for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop processes for cultivating future feature enhancements.
  • Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria.

Product Positioning and Messaging

  • Partner with Product Management in defining the messaging and positioning for each product and new product features.
  • Create marketing and product-related content such as website, brochures, white papers, case studies and presentations.

Competitive Intelligence

  • Analyze competitor and alternative offerings in the market, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and develop a strategy for winning against the competition.
  • Identify and validate urgent, pervasive problems in the market.

Training & Support

  • Work closely with sales to understand customer challenges and needs relative to selling the product offering and create and maintain tools to help sales succeed
  • Train sales personnel on pertinent marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Ensure new and updated training materials are maintained within sales platform
  • Develop and manage tools to support GrainBridge customers

 

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Marketing and/or Technology related fields and is a proven Product Owner that has 5+ years of experience in product positions in a business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer environment. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of delivering solutions that provide amazing customer experiences.

 

Desired Qualifications/Skills

  • Enterprise software experience, preferably including cloud-based solutions
  • Experience in agricultural and global agricultural landscapes
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Must be able to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Able to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing and growing environment
  • Proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders and partners
  • Strong technical skills including expertise in Microsoft Office, G-Suite, Salesforce, Atlassian Suite, and Adobe products
  • Occasional travel required
