The Latino Community Foundation of Colorado (LCFC) is a state-based philanthropic foundation—led by Latinos and for Latinos.
We pursue civic, economic, and cultural opportunities that drive a more authentic narrative about Latinos in the state and cement a healthy and vibrant future where all Latino Coloradans will prosper.
LCFC builds on the influence and power of Latino communities throughout Colorado by investing in civic and economic development opportunities and community health and wellness and by elevating the existing work of individual leaders, nonprofit institutions, and regional communities.
Our small and nimble Denver-based team, currently working remotely, works together closely to further the LCFC mission: “to work hand in hand with our diverse communities to create culturally responsive strategies that build influence, equity and opportunity for all Latino Coloradans.”
We seek collaborative team members who embrace our values, and are committed to racial and social justice and the advancement of Latinos throughout the state of Colorado.
LCFC’s key programs/initiatives include:
Adelante Colorado: a multi-year, cohort-based, capacity building project for organizations led-by and serving the Latino communities across Colorado. Learn more here: https://www.latinocfc.org/adelanteco
Ayuda Colorado: designed to support and stabilize Latino and targeted nonprofit organizations (LLS) and immigrant and refugee organizations (IRS) through direct grants, organizational capacity building, and resource acquisition. Learn more here: https://www.latinocfc.org/ayuda
Colorado Communities for Color Loan Fund: a five-year revolving loan fund pilot project that will ensure access to capital to nonprofit organizations led by and serving communities of color. Learn more here: https://www.latinocfc.org/loanfund
Latinas Lead Power Summit and Our Story Forum: help Latinos connect while providing powerful platforms for Latinos to tell stories and own their narrative. Year-round we also partner with statewide organizations, host grantee convenings, and offer online opportunities for personal and professional connection and growth.
Regional Community Investments: centers community leaders' sovereignty and agency in determining the best pathways for improving the lives of Latinos in their communities. If, and only if, community members desire help from LCFC, the organization provides guided assistance through technical assistance, coaching, mentoring, facilitated conversations, timeline implementation, and training on hard skills. This work is currently taking place in the San Luis Valley.
