Job Summary:
Zymo Research is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join the Technical Manufacturing and Quality Control Team. This individual will be responsible for manufacturing and/or quality control of Zymo Research’s chemicals, buffers, and other product-related components to ensure consistent product performance under ISO9001 standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Technical Production
- Planning and production of bulk molecular reagents and cells for use in Zymo Research’s products in an aseptic environment
- Perform a variety of hands-on tasks and laboratory skills for product production.
- Maintain inventory of raw materials and finished goods.
- Maintain clear, complete and accurate accounts of all manufacturing through the appropriate use of Batch Data Records, lab notebooks, summary reports, and work order documentation.
- Interfaces with product managers and other operation managers (manufacturing, supply chain, and shipping) to standardize and optimize production processes.
- Write and review manufacturing SOPs
2. Product Quality Control
- Initiate and implement appropriate experiments according to the SOP in order to accept or reject the release of product(s) and other related product components. These techniques include, but not limited to, nucleic acid purification, PCR and qPCR assays, cloning and transformation, Next-generation sequencing (epigenetics- and microbiome-related), and other molecular biology techniques.
- Ensure products maintain consistent performance by implementing appropriate experiments according to the SOP.
- Analyze quality control experiments results to accept or reject product release.
- Keep a clear, complete and accurate account of all product quality control testing through the appropriate use of quality control forms and work order documentation.
- Contribute to maintaining and developing processes for improved efficiency in quality control processes.
- Write and review Quality Control SOPs
Education and Experience:
- A BS degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Immunology, Virology, Molecular Biology or a related field is required
- Previous laboratory experience strongly preferred (1-2 years)
- Exceptional organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:
The estimated base compensation range for this position is $23-31 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
