Job Summary:

 

Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Manufacturing team! In this role, you will play a vital part in Warehouse operations and production activities in a biotechnology environment, utilizing your skills and expertise in the Warehouse. This is a temporary position Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 3:00PM. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials while assisting with basic product assembly and kitting tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a regulated environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Warehouse Operations & Production Support

 

  • Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations following FIFO/lot tracking procedures
  • Pick, pack, and stage materials for production
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems or ERP software
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

 

Light Assembly 

 

  • Perform light assembly of kits, components, or product packaging following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Label, package, and prepare finished goods for distribution
  • Assist production teams with staging materials and preparing workstations
  • Ensure assembled products meet quality standards and specifications
  • Report material shortages, quality concerns, or process issues to supervisors

 

Compliance & Safety

 

  • Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and company quality standards
  • Adhere to all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines
  • Properly handle and store sensitive biological or laboratory materials when applicable

 

Education and Experience:

 

Required

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in warehouse operations, manufacturing, or material handling
  • Forklift certified
  • Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
  • Basic computer skills for inventory or warehouse systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

 

Preferred

 

  • Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, or regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or quality-controlled processes
  • Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems (SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Experience with light assembly or kitting processes

Compensation, Benefits, and Perks:

The estimated base compensation range for this position is $19.00 to $22.00 per hour at the time of posting. Actual compensation details will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors.
