Job Summary:
Zymo Research is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Commercialization Team! The Associate Scientific Collaboration Manager will be dedicated to supporting our global distribution partners, ensuring they are fully enabled to succeed by serving as a scientific consultant for the distributors and our customers. This role is customer-service driven at its core—focused on bringing value through training, knowledge-sharing, and seamless access to other Zymo Research experts in R&D, Scientific Collaboration, Technical Support, and Automation when you cannot solve the customers problem alone.
Success in this role comes from deeply understanding our customers’ needs (both end user and distributing partners) and delivering practical solutions: clear messaging, pricing support, sales training, marketing collateral, battle cards, joint travel, and ongoing relationship management. The goal is to embody Zymo Research’s principles of innovation, quality, and service by scientifically supporting our international customers and making our distributors more effective and successful.
Join us in making a meaningful impact!

- Lead joint efforts with distributors to navigate vendor onboarding, supplier qualification, and compliance requirements, ensuring Zymo products are approved, visible, and easy to buy.
- Identify and execute channel-specific growth levers (e.g., standing inventory, framework agreements) that accelerate adoption and defend share.
- Act as the escalation point for channel friction (availability, pricing misalignment, service gaps), working cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to resolve issues quickly.
- Translate procurement and stockroom insights into actionable guidance for Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to optimize channel strategy and institutional penetration
Technical & Field Sales Support
- Partner with distributor sales teams on customer visits, demos, and technical discussions to drive adoption and conversions.

Hunt and Provide Consultative relationships

Distributor Training & Enablement
- Deliver effective training programs (virtual and in-person) for distributor sales, technical, and life science specialists.
- Create and share marketing collateral, sales tools, and battle cards to support consistent, effective messaging and accelerate adoption.
- Ensure timely and accurate communication of new product releases, application workflows, and technical updates.
Relationship & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with distributor technical, sales, and management teams.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and participate in joint business planning for strategic partners.
- Monitor distributor sales performance, promotional efforts, and pipeline health to ensure targets are met and opportunities explored.
- Support the Distributor Management Group in executing sales initiatives and campaigns.
Market Intelligence & Feedback
- Gather and share market intelligence, Voice of Customer (VOC), and competitive insights to inform Zymo Research’s commercial strategy.
- Provide actionable feedback from distributor interactions to enhance product positioning, marketing strategies, and enablement resources.
- Identify regional/channel coverage gaps and opportunities for new distribution channels or expanded market coverage.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and Operations to align strategies and resources with distributor needs.
- Represent Zymo Research at tradeshows, conferences, and distributor meetings to strengthen brand presence and technical credibility.
