Job Description

Dubois Integrity Academy's academic program has two pillars that support substantial achievement improvement:  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) combined with Blended Learning.  We use theme-based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning.  A combination of tightly-controlled behavioral studies and groundbreaking neurological research supports theme-based education as a means to improve the opportunities for success for all learners.  DuBois Integrity Academy is looking for a Principal for its Elementary School to support the school in driving academy and character outcomes for students as a key member of the school's leadership team.

Position Summary

Develop, implement and monitor Continuous School Improvement Plans that aim to improve student performance.  Observe and evaluate the performance of employees.  Supervise student and staff conduct and monitor their progress toward achieving specified goals.  

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and accountability in working with all school stakeholders including teachers, support personnel, students, parents, etc.  Conducts faculty meetings assemblies, volunteer programs, and other activities.
  • Oversees regulations affecting students, academic performance, discipline, and counsel with students as needed.
  • Participates in staff selection, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions as assigned.
  • Attends meeting, workshops, training and extracurricular activities.
  • Prepares reports regarding attendance, test scores, personnel, government projects and other data.
  • Reviews student/parent requests, concerns, etc., and appropriately addresses them.
  • Serves on district-wide task forces and committees.
  • All other duties as required for the position and assigned by the Deputy Superintendent and Executive Director.

Key Job Requirements

  • Master's degree required
  • Minimum three years of successful teaching experience required
  • Standard Professional Educational Leadership - Tier I
  • Certificate or a Standard or Performance-Based Professional Educational Leadership - Tier II
  • Certificate and completion or exemption of all applicable Special Georgia Requirements at the time of application.
